Here & Gone

Documenting a work in progress by Taylor Graham (USA) in collaboration with Irish musician and sound artists Brian Dillon and Joshua Sampson. Here & Gone explores a liminal space specific to stages of shock from past experiences held within the body. This work ponders; is remembering a present act, or does it respond to the past?

EVENT Released Tuesday 8 December at 1:30pm, available until Friday 18 December 2020

UILLINN RESEARCH RESIDENCY Taylor received a research residency at Uillinn for ‘Here and Now’ scheduled for autumn 2020 postponed due to government closures. New dates will be rescheduled for 2021 in January, with a two week block 28 June to 9 July 2021.

I will spend my time in the Uillinn space developing a new body of movement, to explore with trained dancers and non-dancers, based on somatic experience and formal dance training. Additionally, I will foster the beginning of a collaborative solo-dance work that will tour Ireland. Here & Gone is aimed to be an immersive and interdisciplinary piece that takes place at outdoor historical landmarks around Ireland, representing the history of a space and its relativity to our personal history, or memories. Working with Joshua Sampson and Brian Dillon they will ‘sound-scape this liminal world in which I scope movement and integrate voice.’
