Isolation20
Justin Grounds
A polyphonic voice and photographic installation by composer Justin Grounds involving 20 singers from across the county of Cork in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and featuring a new composition comprising texture and harmony that takes the choral music of the renaissance as a departure point. Siobhán McDonald's work draws attention to contemporary topics dealing with air, breath and atmospheric phenomena, weaving scientific knowledge into her art in a poetic and thoughtful manner. She works through the mediums of painting, drawing, film and sound to highlight how human action has an impact on the environment. See here for further information. A solo exhibition including a monumental drawing on flooring vinyl, large scale digital collages printed on pvc, a series of short animated slideshows and a collection of smaller works on paper and painting. See here for further information.

Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre Members and Friends Exhibition
12 June to 10 July 2021
Running annually for more than 30 years, this exhibition showcases work by artists from across West Cork and beyond at all stages of their careers. Submission is open to the many artists who subscribe to our Membership and Friendship schemes. Often including 300 or more individual artworks by over 100 professional, student and amateur artists, this exhibition offers an opportunity for many to exhibit in a professional arts venue for the first time.

An international group exhibition curated by Arno Kramer, comprising large scale, expanded drawing installations by Marleen Kappe, Romy Muijrers, Marisa Rappard (NL) and Kiera O’Toole, Mary-Ruth Walsh and Felicity Clear (Ire).

MA Art + Environment Graduate Exhibition
16 September to 16 October 2021
The first showcase of the new MA Art + Environment taking contemporary art’s relationship with environments (ecological, spatial, political, economic) and artistic practice shaped by archipelagic thinking in the Anthropocene. See here for more information.

Cillín
Tommy Weir
6 November to 15 December 2021
Solo exhibition of large photographic works exploring death, landscape and the making of art by photographer Tommy Weir.  Weir collaborated with poet, Una Mannion and archaeologist, Marion Dowd on this body of work, bringing together photography, science and poetry, looking at the Irish relationship to death and ritual over the centuries.
