FRONT OF HOUSE/GALLERY ASSISTANT

Uillinn West Cork Arts Centre (WCAC), are seeking a keen and friendly Front of House / Gallery Assistant to join our team.

As a Front of House / Gallery Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring our visitors experience a warm welcome. You'll support our vision and strategic goals while maintaining excellent communication with staff and the public with the opportunity to develop a range of skills.

APPLICATIONS CLOSED - Public Engagement Assistant (P/t)

Assist in the development and delivery of projects, exhibitions and events to support access to, and engagement with Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre and its programmes, with diversity and inclusivity integrated into all practice.

Work with artists, schools and community organisation to organise and deliver public events as part of our vibrant arts programme in West Cork.

This opportunity is ideal for graduates or early career arts administrators with a good knowledge of, and background in, contemporary visual art, passionate about getting people involved in the arts, a keen learner and motivated team player.

SELECTION PROCESS

A shortlist of candidates will be made based on criteria relating to experience and expression of interest.

INTERVIEW PANEL

An interview panel comprising representatives of West Cork Arts Centre will meet the shortlisted candidates and make an appointment.

INTERVIEW DATE

The interviews will take place at Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre on Monday 24 June 2024

Project Assistant (CE scheme)

Supporting the work of the Public Engagement team, the Project Assistant (CE scheme) role offers learning opportunities in all aspects of arts administration helping to deliver and document the work of the Public Engagement programme.

Main tasks involve liaising with artists to support delivery of their workshops and events, organising materials and spaces, supervising children and young people in the workshops.

This opportunity is ideal for someone interested in the arts, likes working with children and open to learning new skills and enjoys being part of team.
