>Saturday 29 April – Friday 26 May 2017 Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre is delighted to announce the opening of our always popular event West Cork Arts Centre's Members' Exhibition 2017. Running annually for more than 30 years, this exhibition showcases work by artists from across West Cork and beyond, at all stages of their careers.
>Saturday 20 May, 7:30pm Twisted!, Helga Deasy, Dance Artist in Residence at West Cork Arts Centre Youth Dance Film screening, free of charge Carmel Winters award-winning storyteller, the maker of bold and innovative drama for stage and screen, will launch the short film with a few words. In a cross-disciplinary collaboration, dance artist/choreographer Helga Deasy and film maker Colm Rooney worked on a site-specific dance video project in and around Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre with 8 young dancers and film makers from the locality. >Bealtaine Exhibition 2017 Celebrating creativity as we age 5 May – 11 June at Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre West Cork Arts Centre are celebrating this year's Bealtaine Festival with a multidisciplinary exhibition showcasing the many programmes and projects with older people that take place at the Centre and throughout the region. Involving nine facilitating artists, working in twelve venues, through both Arts for Health and Arts for an Active Mind programmes, this multidisciplinary exhibition includes poetry, music, painting, drawing, sculpture and glasswork reflecting the creative experiences of the many participants.
