Exploring mans interaction, impact and effect on unique and challenging natural environments.
Conducting a series experiments with field recordings of bio acoustic, hydro phonic, sub-terrain, environmental and man made sounds.
My initial investigation will be focused on the local knowledge of the unique conditions that create Lough Hyne.
Conducting site specific field studies by collecting the sights, sounds and sampling from six locations on, around or under this unique body of water.
These physical samples will provide the substance or medium through which the corresponding sound will be illustrated and tested.
Developing a variety of mediums which are be capable of capturing and actively illustrating sound.
Recording the vibrational, interference, diffraction and cymatic, visual and physical effects.
Exploring processes, analysing and manipulating sound to complex compositions and visual interactions.
Illustrate and track mans impact on the environment.

I graduated from the University of Ulster with a BA (Hon's) in Fine and Applied Arts in 1998 and again in 2000 with a Master of Fine Art. I have a background in traditional sculpture and developed a wide variety of experimental processes and ways of working which is continuously expanding. My studio practice has grown to include numerous elements across several disciplines which are continually informing the other in particular new media, film and field recording.
I have designed and delivered a wide range of projects, collaborations, exhibitions, installations, and studio-based and learning for over twenty five years.
My studio practice has grown to include numerous elements which are continually informing the other. I am a founder member of Shore Artists Collective which began in 2010. I have been a Board member at the University Of Atypical since 2003.
