META4 DANCE COMPANY are a North East based contemporary dance company comprising of Lily Horgan and Charlie Dunne. Internationally, they deliver a wide range of projects spanning dance, film, inclusive dance, exhibitions, traditional performance work, and installations. Meta4 are bold, dynamic and ambitious. They tackle challenges in new and creative ways, using their logical approach to offer alternative and inspiring work across a broad range of areas. Meta4 are passionate about showing real life experiences throughout their work, their work is always honest and built on truth. Meta4 believe that anyone can dance or move, they just need to be given the tools to do it.
With a strong sense of dance for all, Meta4 Dance pride themselves on finding pathways and opportunities for young people with learning disabilities. Their performing youth company for young people with learning disabilities in Shropshire creates extensive opportunities across the county for company members to perform and to raise awareness for disability dance.
Meta4 Dance's community dance work looks specifically at participants and audiences in rural isolation. Both directors have experienced first hand the effects of rural isolation and can relate on a personal level which puts this issue to the forefront of their work.
Meta4 Dance have worked with Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre over a variety of residencies and projects including Anonymous, and most recently April 2020.
